Snickers Bars: Why the classic is a classic
Not a huge secret… After selling thousands of snacks, we’ve reached an important conclusion. Snickers bars are a classic for a reason – they are DELICIOUS!!
One reason it holds popularity among our customers — a replacement for an energy or protein bar. Some people enjoy these in place of the traditional bars after a workout and while we run through nutritional information below, that makes sense to us. Snickers offers a good mix of carbs, fat and protein after a workout. There are also variations of the Snickers bar that offer higher protein content. However, in our machines the classic stands alone as a top seller.
Nutritional Value of a Snickers Bar: Is there any?
At Simpl Snacks, our main goal remains offering our customers tasty and refreshing snacks. Healthy options can’t be overlooked. So, how do Snickers Bars fit into this mix? Our machines feature the 1.86 oz bar — the typical full-size bar. Want more nutritional details? Check out the Snickers’ site for specific nutritional details. We mention a few highlights here.
First, this is a snack that is under 300 calories. Eating snacks can be a great way to stick to a healthy diet and avoid splurging on high-calorie items. Second, while this is still a candy bar, Snickers offers some protein (4 grams). Not as much as a traditional protein bar, but something is better than nothing in our view. We do think it is important to mention that this is a snack containing nuts (specifically peanuts) — a “must know” for some of our customers with nut allergies. In summary, while it is still a candy bar, we do see some redeeming “healthy” aspects tied to the Snickers Bar. In moderation, a nice treat.
